OUR
STORY
Starting from the observation that, however beautiful they may be, golf video games are singularly lacking in "touch",
Christian PEPIN designs a game of golf where the dexterity of the player is particularly called upon.
Version 1 of TEE SHOT, measures 1.20 x 0.80.
It represents three holes: two PAR 4 and a PAR 3.
The model of the golf course, is covered with carpet,
and the greens are felt.
Figures made from figures
found in stores, stand on a flat base.
Articulated at the level of the pelvis,
they can throw a ball on the golf model,
thanks to a spring system.
The clubs are handmade.
There are 4 kinds of clubs: wood, iron, sandwedge and putter.
Depending on the shot to be played, it is possible to choose one of these clubs.
The balls are made of extruded polystyrene.
T EE SHOT is a game, but it is also an educational tool.
It allows to highlight some fundamental principles of the game of golf, such as the choice of the club,
the amount of momentum to take,
how to make curved trajectories (effect balls).
And above all, it offers the opportunity to learn the rules of the game
in a small space.
1989
Tee ShoT Indoor Golf is a 3D tabletop golf game.
It consists of a model representing a golf course,
and articulated golfer or golfer figurines
which project a ball on the model.
Tee ShoT reflects on a scale of approximately 1/100 the situations
that you can experience on a real golf course.
With Tee ShoT, it is possible to drive at more than 2 m,
to play an effect ball to go around a tree,
to make a real exit from the bunker.
Once on the green, reading the slopes will be essential
to "enquiller" the putt.
Each module can be attached to the other modules on its 4 sides,
it is now possible to build around 100,000 holes.
In order to embellish the model, but also to reinforce the difficulty of the holes,
it is possible to “plant” trees on the model.
Appearance of the female figurine and figurines on bases.
1993
Participation in the competition Lépine, where TEE SHOT receives the prize from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
1998
A fter several years of research, Christian Pépin created a “shape memory” TEE SHOT.
With version 3 of TEE SHOT, you can now modify the relief of the fairway and the green,
by simple pressure on the model.
The range of accessories is also expanding, to the trees are added rocks,
flower beds, rough spaces.
